These terms govern your use of funyscript.com and any package you buy from it. By placing an order you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not buy.

1. Who you are contracting with

FUNYSCRIPT is a digital publishing imprint of Guangzhou Rongxi Trading Co., Ltd.. You can reach us at rongxilinko@outlook.com.

2. What we sell

We sell downloadable written material: comedy series development packages for short-form production. Each package is a single plain-text file containing a series bible, an episode hook map, a shot-by-shot board of the first five episodes, production notes and marketing copy. Nothing we sell is software, and nothing we sell is a finished shooting script containing dialogue for an entire season.

The product page for each package is part of these terms: where the page and this document disagree about what a package contains, the product page is what you bought.

3. Your licence

Buying a package grants you a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual licence to use that material to develop, adapt and produce the series described, including commercial production and distribution of the resulting series.

Unless you have the extended licence supplied with the All-Access Master Library, you may not:

• resell, share, publish or redistribute the file itself, in whole or in part;
• grant anyone else a licence to the material;
• publish a translated edition of the material for sale;
• upload the file to a platform, repository or file-sharing service where others can obtain it.

The extended licence adds adaptation for resale, translation and sub-licensing across all nine scripts. If you need something the standard licence does not cover, ask us — we would rather grant a licence than discover a breach.

4. What we do not promise

We sell scripts and production documents. We do not promise that a series developed from them will be commissioned, produced, distributed, watched or profitable, and we do not promise any particular commercial outcome. Nothing in a package is legal, financial, tax or professional advice. Decisions about your own production, your own cast and your own rights clearances are yours.

5. Prices and taxes

Prices are in US dollars and may change at any time. The price that applies to your purchase is the price shown at checkout. Where a sales tax or similar levy applies to your purchase, it is handled by the payment provider and shown before you confirm.

6. Delivery

Delivery is by download, issued immediately after payment is confirmed. There is no physical shipment. Files do not expire and can be downloaded again from the link in your receipt. If a link fails, write to us with your order number and we will reissue the file.

7. Refunds

All sales of digital downloads are final once the file has been downloaded. The specific circumstances in which we will refund are set out in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to use this site to break the law, to attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of it, to scrape it at a volume that degrades it for other people, or to interfere with the download links or the checkout. We may suspend access to a download link where we have a reasonable belief it is being abused or redistributed.

9. Ownership

Copyright in every package, and in the text of this site, belongs to Guangzhou Rongxi Trading Co., Ltd. or its licensors. You receive a licence, not ownership of the material itself. The titles, loglines, characters and settings in a package may not be registered as a trademark by you.

10. Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you in connection with any purchase is limited to the amount you paid for that purchase. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost production budgets, lost opportunities or lost profit. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for fraud.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China, and the courts of Guangzhou have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not remove any protection given to you by the mandatory consumer law of your own country of residence.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the version in force is the one published on this page at the time you order. The effective date at the top tells you when it last changed.
